CHRISTIAN AID 2008 ANNUAL REPORTOn the third Sunday of every month we continue to provide tea, coffee and biscuits after the morning service using fair trade products. We also have a Traidcraft stall selling goods with the fair trade brand mark. In 2007, we sold £893.52p worth of goods. Stuart gave us a cheque for a percentage of these sales which was sent to the Diocese of Ho in Ghana along with the money raised at the Harvest and Flower festivals. We have also received donations to Traidcraft during the year amounting to around £35, some of which came from the sale of cards made by the Tuesday afternoon craft group.Thank you to all who support us every month. Joan Henderson CHRISTIAN AID 2007 ANNUAL REPORTOnce again our thanks go out to all who helped Christian Aid during the year. The Lent lunches raised over £700 for Christian Aid, one of the six being staffed by All Hallows people. The envelope collection in May raised about £4000, some of which was gift aided, and All Hallows collected £1200 of this money. This is a valiant effort from our dedicated band of town collectors who seem to get less every year. As a result of individual church contributions from coffee mornings and harvest adding to the other amounts, a total of £5700 was sent to Christian Aid from the Retford and District area. Christian Aid Week 2007 runs from 13th to 20th May beginning with an ecumenical service at St. Saviour’s Church on Sunday 13th May at 6.30pm. Joan Henderson TRAIDCRAFT 2007 ANNUAL REPORTOn the third Sunday of the month, we continue to provide Fair-traded tea, coffee and biscuits after the morning service. We also have a stall selling goods from Traidcraft, a company which ensures that its workers, suppliers and growers receive a fair wage for their efforts. In 2006 we sold over £800 worth of goods. Sandra and Nicola also made a contribution to Traidcraft from the sale of the cards made on a Tuesday afternoon at the craft group. Now that there is more space at the back of church, we will be operating there instead of the Church Hall. Thank you to all the people who support us every month. Joan Henderson
