Christian Aid Week Prayer

Holy Spirit of God,

light a flame within me,

burning for justice,

glowing with kindness,

shining with hope

for the end of poverty

and the peace of all people

in this ever turning world. Amen.

CHRISTIAN AID - ANNUAL REPORT 2018

The Lent lunches 2018 raised almost £1,100 even though one lunch had to be cancelled due to the inclement weather. The lunches in 2019 began on Thursday 7th March through to April 11th. All Hallows staffed the lunch on March 21st

Christian Aid Week 2018 was the first year that churches decided not to take part in a street collection but to put envelopes out in church for anyone who wanted to take one for themselves and their neighbours.  Christian Aid week raised about £2,000. Graham Bottley ran in the London Marathon and raised around £4,000 from sponsorship, some from Retford church members and some from his Just Giving internet site.

Christian Aid Week 2019 is 12th – 19th May. The Joint service will be at the end of that week on 19th May at 6.00pm in St Saviour’s Church.

Christian Aid continues to support people in need through local organisations and continues to campaign to address the issue of climate change by requesting governments and financial organisations to stop investing in the use of fossil fuels. Please continue to support this week in any way you can.

TRAIDCRAFT - ANNUAL REPORT 2018

This will be the last report that I can write about Traidcraft as sadly the shop side of the company has closed at the end of December 2018.  They are currently clearing their stock.  The charity, Traidcraft Exchange, will continue to exist.
